So what you're saying is that we'd should have patience with the meanspirited posters because of their supposed pain? Online board are completely different from real life. On online boards, the anonymity ensures that people will go to much further extremes and will say things they wouldn't dare to say in the face of another human being. It's often sad to see, but I doubt there is any real pain involved, just attention seeking and the kick to be rude and still suffer no real consequences for it. It's a sad observation one must make on human nature.
